SOMERSET is set to be lashed by more heavy rainfall over the next few days.
The Met Office has issued a yellow rain warning covering a 20-hour period from late tomorrow evening (Wednesday, January 11) until late afternoon on Thursday.
Persistent heavy rain is forecast across the South West of England and South Wales.
The rain warning runs from 9pm tomorrow until 5pm on Thursday.
The Met Office is warning:
Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely;
Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer;
Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer;
Some interruption to power supplies and other services is possible.
We should get a taster of what's to come later today, with heavy rain predicted between 5pm and 8pm.
Then tomorrow morning will see blustery showers and the odd sunny spell.
But that's the calm before the storm, with heavy rain and strong gusts of wind later in the day.
Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, stay safe.
