SPORTY youngsters were rewarded for their hard work and achievement at a glitzy Oscar-style event last week.
Students at Clevedon School saw a celebration for their sporting heroes and handed them special gongs.
It was the first sports event since the start of the Covid pandemic where dozens of hard-working and committed students saw them scoop top prizes in leadership, commitment, team and personality of the year.
PE head, Chris Wise, said: “I was absolutely thrilled to be able to hold this celebration evening.
“The students are absolute superstars and we were all delighted to honour them. It has been a long wait to get fully competitive sport up and running again following the pandemic.
“Now to be able to celebrate the many outstanding sporting achievements from Clevedon School students from the last academic year has topped off a fantastic year for the department."
The award winners were Hannah Becker; Thomas Croughan; Felix Milnor; Jack Richards; Lily Gould; Katie Lawrence; Ffion Reed; Jacob Lillington; Mia Darlington; Ben Collins; Sam Newall; Joe Finch and Maggie King.
The more prestigious awards of the evening were awarded to the Year 9 Netball Team, Maddison Henley-Ferneaux, William Thie and Maddi Giles.
