UKRAINIAN artwork is to be displayed in North Somerset this week in a bid to help people damaged by the war.
An exhibition of original Ukrainian art will help to 'highlight the beauty of Ukraine and raise awareness of the conflict'.
For one month, Congresbury's Cadbury House will feature work from the renowned Ukrainian artist Lesya Pryimych.
Health club member Olya Rnic has helped to organise the display and also aided the recovery of the artwork from Ukraine.
She now hopes art lovers will pop along to view the paintings. These have the Art Experts' Commission to be bought in the UK.
Olya said: "I’d like to thank Jason and all the team at the club and spa for helping us arrange this exhibition.
"Lesya is an established member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and has exhibited her paintings throughout her career both at home and abroad.
"Exhibiting these original pieces will help show the beauty of Ukraine.
"The exhibition is open to everyone, and all works are avaliable to buy. All proceeds will go towards the international charitable foundation Come Back Alive, with a small amount to cover the cost of transport and documents necessary to bring them to the UK."
Ten works will be exhibited and will include: In the Garden of Heavenly Songs; Courtyard Irises; Carpathia; Light of Hope; Carpathian Highlands, and Christmas Eve.
These will be on show from September 25 for two weeks when they will be replaced with new paintings for a further two weeks.
General manager Jason Eaton, added: "We’re delighted to exhibit these incredible paintings. The story alone of getting them here to the UK is just amazing so to have them here at Cadbury House is a great honour.
"We hope now that the people of North Somerset come along to take a look and perhaps decide to buy an original in support of the struggle for Ukraine.
"Anyone who is interested can submit a closed bid to the email address ukrartlesya@gmail.com.
"Once the exhibition is closed we will contact the highest bidder who will then have the pleasure of being the owner of a unique piece of art."
The exhibition will run from September 25 until October 25. Members of the public will be able to pop in to take a look at the artwork and submit bids for purchase.
