A lucky eight-year-old from Weston treated six of his friends to a day of fishing and shooting after he won a Mercury competition with Really Wild Adventures.

Leo Downer, from Lower Church Road, spent the day enjoying some countryside sports with Rob Collins, from Really Wild Adventures, at Jacklands Fishing Lakes in Tickenham.

Leo’s granny Ann Palmer said: “It was brilliant, they all thoroughly enjoyed it.

“It was lovely to do something completely different and Rob was absolutely amazing.

“All the children caught a fish which they were allowed to take home with them and then they did shooting.

“They had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend it for a party.”
