Stars of one of the country’s top rugby teams will soon be coaching some of Clevedon’s young players.

Bath Rugby have joined forces with Weston College which will see the Aviva Premiership side play an active role in supporting youngsters at the college’s junior academy in Southey Road.

Players aged 11-16 will benefit from the knowledge of some of the club’s coaches and will also get to wear Bath Rugby’s badge on their kits.

Paul Taylor, Weston College’s sports development and performance manager, said: “I’m delighted a club with such a prestigious sporting history as Bath Rugby has chosen to form a partnership with our top college.

“We both recognise North Somerset is a real hotbed for rugby with lots of talented girls and boys playing.”
