Portishead Youth Club is open during the school summer holidays, some of that time will be for usual youth club sessions, however there is also a programme of special events, excursions and a subsidised residential trip, with transport included, to take advantage of. All young people returning to school in September going in to year seven or above are welcome to join in.
The residential trip to Morfa Bay Activity Centre takes place August 11-13 @ £80 per person with 12 places available. This includes accommodation and food, sea activities, climbing, abseiling, caving, high ropes, zip wire and the muddy assault course as well as evening walks. The costs for other activities and excursions vary.
The youth centre is also running a special discount scheme for young people. For just £1 they can sign up and receive a card that will entitle them to discounts and special offers across the town. n

August 9
Visit Bristol Balloon Fiesta and Za Za Bazaar.
August 14
A visit to Kaspa's dessert bar in Weston.
August 20
A day of surfing in Woolacombe.
August 21
An evening of bowling.
August 22
A day at Cheddar Reservoir with Laser Tag in the woods and games.
August 28
An escape room challenge at Bristol Escape Rooms.
August 28
A meal out at Bottelinos.
