Limited edition postcards have gone on sale at the Curzon cinema in Clevedon to help raise funds for vital roof restoration works.
The postcards have been funded and produced by Reeds Rains estate agents, situated just a stone's throw from the Old Church Road cinema, on Clevedon Triangle.
Reeds Rains Clevedon director, Charlotte Emsley, said: "We wanted to support the Curzon and the roof fund seemed something we should get on board with, so we came up with the idea of producing a limited edition set of postcards that will not only help the cinema raise much needed cash, but also give supporters something to show for their money."
There are two designs of postcards available which depict the historic cinema through the years, a black and white one and a full colour one and only 250 of each design have been printed.
The Curzon launched a campaign earlier in the year to raise £100,000 to cover the costs of rebuilding the cinema's roof after narrowly missing out on a restoration grant fromthe Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The Curzon was advised it had met all the criteria but the HLF could only fund four out of 28 applications and the cinema was just unlucky not to be one of the four.
The limited edition postcards are on sale now priced £2 each, available from the Curzon and at the Reeds Rains offices on Clevedon Triangle and in Portishead High Street.
