20th May 1946 – 4th October 2024.Patrick Tunstall was the son of Lieut Richard Tunstall and his wife Josephine. Patrick’s father was Lieutenant for the Royal Engineers in the British Army throughout World War 11. During a battle in Dunkirk he was captured by the German Forces and remained a prisoner of war for five years. Patrick was born on 20th May 1946 in Witney, Oxfordshire, the eldest of four children. The family moved to London in 1953 where he grew up with his siblings Kevin, Teresa and Elizabeth. Patrick and his siblings attended St Richards of Chichester secondary school in Kentish Town. Soon after leaving school Patrick began his professional career working for US Industries in Bond St where he started training in the printing department.After a few years he secured a ‘summer job’ with the British Broadcasting Corporation – he manged to stay there and & eventually worked there for over 30 years.He had many jobs with the B.B.C, but he mainly worked in the printing department. Upon retirement he moved to Streatham in South London and most recently resided in Clevedon, North Somerset where he lived with his sister Elizabeth.Patrick became ill on 27th September and after week in hospital sadly passed away on 4th October.
His younger brother Kevin died on 4th June 2010 and he is survived by his two sisters Teresa and Elizabeth and his nine loving nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 7 Marine Hill, Clevedon
BS21 7PP on Monday 11th November at 11.00am.Family flowers only by request but donations if desired in memory of Patrick to Bristol & Weston Hospital Charities may be sent c/o L Bennett & Son Funeral Directors
