HOLMES John Terence Sadly passed away on the 5th March 2024 aged 89 years. A much loved Dad to Karen, Andrea and Liz, Grandad and Great-grandad and friend to many. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by all that knew him. His funeral will take place on Wednesday 3rd April, 15:30pm at Weston-super-Mare Crematorium. I am so sorry to hear about your lovely dad. I had 7 happy years living next door to him and your mum in Pill Way. I will never forget the day he knocked on the wall to warn us that the sea was coming up the road when it breached the sea wall in 1982.

John was a wonderfully enthusiastic and regular supporter of Clevedon Music Club, a real music-lover but much more than that, a Spurs fan and footballer, one who had been congratulated with a hand shake as Man of the Match by Spurs' legendary 1950s goalkeeper,Ted Ditchburn. Paul, a lifelong Spurs fan, was delighted to discover John's memories of his early years of training and playing as a goal keeper. We have missed him in recent years at the Club's concert and he is fondly remembered. A lovely man, always cheerful and happy to chat.
