WHITTAKER SYLVIA ANNE. Passed away peacefully at Weston-super-Mare General Hospital on Friday 23rd February 2018 in her 84th year. Loving wife of Ronald Arthur Whittaker. Beloved mother of Nicholas and his wife Louise, Sharon and her husband Carl, and Adrian and his partner Fran. Proud Nan of Amy, Emily, Hannah, Natalie, Victoria, Matthew and Natasha. Survived by her brother Brian. Daughter of the late Holden and Noreen Waite (nee Bateson). Anne (also known as Sylvia), was born on May 5th 1933. She was educated at Littlemoor School Rawdon Yorkshire, and graduated from Bradford Pitman’s Secretarial College in 1948. Anne first started work at W B Cartwrights in Rawdon as a shorthand typist, and throughout her life was an avid sportsperson, loving golf, tennis and other racquet sports.
