BRADLEY BRIAN H peacefully passed away on the 17th of December 2020 aged 95 years. In February 1946 King George VI in a personal letter awarded him The Humane Society Bronze Medal for Gallantry in Saving Life at Sea. Brian was also awarded the Lloyds Silver Medal and Bristol gave the Carnegie Hero Award. On the 25th of October 1945 as mate of the tug Steelopolis, he swam with a line in heavy seas to save the lives of the crew of the tug Danegarth sunk in the Bristol Channel. Much loved by his wife Teresa, daughter Sandra, sons Stephen and John and his grandchildren. Private funeral with a celebration of life in better times; no flowers, donations to “The Mission to Seafarers” c/o Clevedon Funeral Services, 41 Old Street, Clevedon, BS21 6DA.Your tribute has been received.
