PERMISSION in principle is being sought to construct three self-build dwellings in Langford.

The plans, submitted by a Mr Jones, concern land to north of the telephone exchange, Ladymead Lane.

The application's cover letter, written by Stokes Morgan, reads: "The proposed development seeks to erect three self-build dwellings, utilising the existing access on to Ladymead Lane.

"The site adjoins the settlement boundary of Churchill, and is within walking and cycling distance of local services and public transport routes. The proposal is not Habitats Development as defined by the legislation, and there are therefore no in principle reasons for the proposal not to be accepted at this stage.

"The three dwellings can be comfortably accommodated within the site."
